This doesn’t just happen to Amanda (she’s just fun to single out). We were constantly cleaning the old office because no matter how often we changed filters, there was just dust. It was an old building. That happens. So luckily, our new office is a much newer building (by one whole year).
We still have a few dust issues.
To combat the dust issues in the bigger office, Jenny put together a rotating cleaning task list. Everybody gets assigned a different bite of the cleaning pie each week–it doesn’t eat into your day very much, it’s not overwhelming, and the whole office stays clean. Of course, there’s some stuff that it just doesn’t occur to us to clean, because the dirtying process is so gradual. Stuff like monitors.
Public service message: don’t clean your LCD monitor this way. JEFF.
