We ❤️ New York
As embarrassing as it is to admit, this strip is 100% true. We had a blast at the New York Comic Con, a bunch of folks stopped by the booth to learn Tak and hug a Draccus, and the Worldbuilders Party was way more fun than every single other event going on that weekend (this is a scientifically verifiable claim).
And by the time we got back to the hotel, we were really really tired. So Friday night, Jenny declared she was going to see Hudson (a jazz supergroup comprised of John Schofield, John Medeski, Larry Grenadier, and Jack DeJohnette). She had a seat right above DeJohnette and loved every minute of it. One could say she was pretty….jazzed.
As soon as Jenny left, Rachel, Brett, and Jeff convened in Rachel’s room to figure out what they wanted to do with their free evening in New York. After a long silence where nobody wanted to admit defeat, they all agreed it was the perfect night to stay in and watch “The Incredibles” even though all of them had seen it a ridiculous number of times. They had a blast.
Jenny came back from her concert excited and delighted, and no matter how many times the others tried to convince her she missed out, she would not be swayed.
We loved being at the New York Comic Con, and we hope to see all of you again next year! Maybe then Jeff will tell us where exactly he found a plaid t-shirt.
