We Heart Our Volunteers

We need to take a moment to give a shout-out to all our awesome volunteers. Like, seriously.

We’ve made the call on occasion, and you guys have stepped up, big time. In the past, we had you bubble-wrap and pack literally thousands of book bundles and copies of The Slow Regard of Silent Things. We asked you to cut Worldbuilders and Geeks Doing Good stickers, organize a huge room full of packing material, slap mailing labels on box after box, and you always come back and ask for more.

You even come in on weekends!

We’d like to put a few of you in the spotlight (in order of where your names appear on this list)–Aimee, Vicki, Nicole, Ang, Casey and Tracy. You guys are back all the time. Trina’s been here a few times and shows no signs of slowing down. Dawn and Mike helped out a ton in our early days of volunteers.

So this happened today! We know, it looks like all we do is eat, but really, that’s the only time we have to take photos!

Tracy couldn’t be here for the fundraiser, but decided we shouldn’t go hungry. She treated us to lunch long-distance today, because she knows we can’t refuse food (largely due to the little dance we all do when she brings treats). Thanks Tracy!! Get well soon!

Alistair, we had a great time when you were here, and we miss you terribly. Thanks for taking our verbal abuse when you introduced us to Vegemite.

Nicole M., thanks so much for coming back time and again, dealing with our random geek fandom references and getting everything done twice as fast as we could.

You are all awesome and we love you.
