Visit us at Rose City Comic Con next weekend!

We’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little anxious about the Rose City Comic Con, but that’s only because we’ve never been to Portland before! There has been a flurry of activity here in the office while we prepare. Jenny’s been redesigning our booth based on our experience a few weeks ago at Gen Con, and she’s been arranging shipping and travel to Portland because she’s good at that sort of thing.

She’s also very good at indicating scale.

Maria and Rachel worked with Anne to figure out what cool stuff we should bring. We have a good plan of attack. We’re in good hands. Besides, every con so far has been new to us at one point, and they’ve all turned out to be super cool. We got this.

(deep breath)

But this time we’ll be on Bitch Planet & Sex Criminals’ home turf! It’s like we’re in Matt & Kelly Sue’s living room wondering if it’s okay to put down our drink without a coaster.

We’re playing it modest for our first time in Portland, but we do have some fun things planned. We will be offering a Bitch Planet t-shirt variant that is exclusive to the Rose City Comic Con. We will only sell this variant at the con, and once they’re gone, they’re gone! We will also have a bunch of cool stuff from Worldbuilders Market for sale, so if you wonder what some of the items in our online store look like in person, definitely pay us a visit. Oh, and also…

Recognize these two? Hint: It’s Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction!

Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction will be at our booth to sign books! That’s right, both of them will spend some time on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 2 pm to 3 pm at booth 879 chatting with fans, signing books, and generally being their own awesome selves. We will definitely have Bitch Planet and Sex Criminals trade paperbacks for sale, as well as an awesome Bitch Planet poster, t-shirts and pins for both series, and other merchandise.

Since this is our first time in Portland, if any of you have suggestions for where to eat or what sights we should take in (if we have time), let us know!

We just had to add this photo because this is how Jenny labels boxes for shipment. It’s the best.
