Leonard & Larry – Tim Barera

Acclaimed gay comic strip, the Leonard & Larry characters first appeared in a 1984 issue of Gay Comix, then were later featured in The Advocate and Frontiers magazines.

Creature From the Black Lagoon – John Russell Fearn (writing as Vargo Statten)

Creature From the Black Lagoon is perhaps one of the all-time favorite films of all Monster fans. The original novelization, by Vargo Statten (a.k.a. John Russell Fearn) was only published in England in a digest paperback format by Dragon Books in 1954. Later it was also done as a hardcover. Both versions are incredibly rare and very expensive. This is the first time this has been published in the US, with the added bonus of an intro by #1 Creature fan David Schow and dozens of photos, many of which have never been published before.

Shelf Life – Edited by Greg Ketter

Bookstore. the word conjures up many images; dusty little holes-in-the-wall piled high with well-read paperbacks, jacketless hardcovers and the promise of possible rare treats; huge superstores with coffee shops and comfy chairs, bookbags, bookmarks and sometimes even books; friendly neighborhood retreats complete with cat and eccentric owner. Places filled with ideas, built of words and pictures, just waiting to be consumed.
