Cold Snap
We love our new office. It’s so nice to have space for all the books, store items, fulfillment, and, frankly, us. But when the weather started to cool down in late autumn, we found that the building wasn’t the warmest place to work. Space heaters were bought.
No matter what we do, there are still two places that are noticeably colder than any other area in the building: the break room, which we’ve just stopped using for now, and Jenny and Brett’s office.
Last week, Jeff stood in the doorway to ask Jenny something. She pulled up the answer on her computer, and he walked into the office to take a look. Halfway into the office, he stopped and said, “You guys. This entire office is nope degrees. How can you stand it?” This morning, Amanda did the same thing–she walked into their office looking for a pencil and promptly wrapped her arms around herself, saying, “Holy [swear] it’s freezing in here!” Because profanity is Amanda’s artistic medium of choice.
Both of those stories are true, as is the illustration of Jenny working while bundled in her winter clothes. In fact, we’re pretty sure the only thing Brett exaggerated was Amanda immediately freezing solid. Though we are impressed he can draw like this while wearing mittens.
