Short update this week: we've started fulfillment of the Lottery prizes for the annual fundraiser!
The Worldbuilders office is closed today, so we're not really sure why we're posting a blog entry. There isn't any news, now that the annual fundraiser is over--actually, now that the entire annus is over (stop giggling--it means "year").
So here we are, almost halfway through the fundraiser. It seems to be going quickly!
You may have heard of our volunteer Tracy, who is directly responsible for all the violence in the office because she gave us NERF guns one Christmas season....
Today is the last day of our 2015 annual fundraiser, and there are still some matching funds left. If we reach $1,225,000, we'll use it up, so there's still a little time to double your donation and turn one goat into two!
I first heard about Pat Rothfuss’s Worldbuilders charity drive the first year it ran. If I’m remembering correctly, it wasn’t even called that the first year. It didn’t have a name.
We love us some Jacqueline Carey. She's usually one of the first people to step up and offer to contribute to our fundraiser, either by donating books, her time, or even her writing skills.
