So much Tinkers Packs!
Our new version of The Tinker’s Packs (v2.0?) has been busy since opening up last Thursday. We have so far received over 400 orders, and Adam and Nicole are rocking it so far.
Adam salutes you.
Yes, the computer screen is pure whimsy, but the note pad is totally real. That’s not even the first page of the list. This Friday, Adam and Nicole will be poring over their notes and streamlining the way the store works. You probably won’t notice anything, but this is work that needs to be done so the store runs smoothly and consistently.
Oh, and the two of them will also be fulfilling all 400+ orders while they troubleshoot the site. Why? Because they’re awesome and can do all things. This is today’s orders:
Strangely, one of the big changes they have to get used to is the thermal printer. It’s great, since everything that needs to be stuck to something no longer needs to be taped down. But the labels come out all curled up and need to be flattened by a weighty object or something. This is a minor issue, granted, and they solved it in our signature Worldbuilders low-tech style.
On the Fundraiser front, we’re gearing up for the 2014 Fundraiser as you read this. We’ve been in touch with our sponsors and some of the lovely folks who have expressed interest in donating cool stuff for the lottery and auctions. A number of authors have already expressed interest, and Badali Jewelry is signed up for their biggest Fundraiser contribution to date.
Maria has been preparing her hanging files in anticipation.
We’ve been working with Heifer International on our new Team page for this year. This is the page you go to donate and get yourself entered in the lottery. Heifer has switched platforms to something a bit more customizable, so while Adam and Nicole learn the new storefront, Maria, Amanda, and Brett get to learn the new Team Heifer platform (we think you’ll love it).
We’re also talking with our own brilliant web design folks about a few tweaks to the Worldbuilders website. Nothing big, just a few nips and tucks to make it easier to find the stuff you want to see.
Finally, if you preordered The Slow Regard of Silent Things through our IndieGoGo campaign and have moved since July, please let us know! We’ll be prepping our packaging and printing shipping labels for those in two weeks, so y’all have until October 8th to update your shipping addresses! Please email us at fundraiser@worldbuilders.org and let us know.
Thanks for keeping us busy!
