Audiobooks and totes and prints!

Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to meet a bunch of really cool authors and entertainers. A lot of our author friends have been contributing to our annual fundraiser for quite some time by donating collectibles, manuscript critiques, crafts and artifacts, and acts of whimsy for our stretch goals. They come back year after year, and we’re always happy to see them.

One of those authors is so bright and sunny it makes her last name more than a little ironic: Holly Black. If you enjoyed The Spiderwick Chroniclesor really fairies of any kind, it might be partially her fault. She also reads a mean Dr. Seuss. Holly sent over a bunch of her audiobooks, so if you need something new to listen to, check ’em out!

Another author who’s donated her books to us in past fundraisers is Jaye Wells, author of the Sabina Kane and Prospero’s War series. Do you like your crime storys dark, smart, and full of magic and critters? Then you need to read Jaye Wells. Jaye sent a few Prospero’s War audiobooks, so if you’ve already read Dirty Magic but don’t have the time to keep going because your commute eats up all your reading time, we have a solution. We don’t have many copies of books 2 and 3, though, so make sure you grab one before they’re gone.

Since we first included Karen Hallion’s beautiful Denna Who? illustration in the 2015 “Guess Who?” calendar, people have been asking for a nice print to hang on the wall. We produced a limited number of canvas prints, but, you know, “limited.” And the cards are gorgeous, but difficult to see from across the room. So we’re happy to offer photographic prints of Karen’s Kingkiller mashup! You can choose from an 8″ x 10″ print or a larger 11″ x 14″ print to hang proudly in your office/den/bedroom/kitchen/other room of your choice. The only requirement is that the room has at least one wall. Take a look!

Hey Viari fans,

If you’re at #PAXEast you can grab one of these over here.

If you collect enamel pins (this is a thing–a glorious, wonderful thing), you may have heard of the Pinny Arcade pin trading group. It’s largely a PAX thing, but we’ve seen folks at GenCon and other conventions with their Pinny Arcade lanyards covered in limited edition enamel pins just waiting for a new home. We got on board the Pinny train with our Talent Pipes pin, and we’re staying full steam ahead with the new What Ho! pin (and train metaphors). This friendly pin embodies the catch phrase of Pat’s character Viari in Acquisitions Inc. and you can grab one for yourself right here!

Finally, what would a non-profit be without a tote bag? We can’t believe it took us so long to get you guys something to put all your swag in! But we’ve remedied that oversight by putting together a 100% cotton, US-made canvas tote bag. The Worldbuilders logo is screen printed on both sides, with matching red sides and handles. We’re not usually one to geek out over tote bags, but we were really impressed with how sharp these look and how thick the canvas really is. If you need a tote that will hold all your books, groceries, or possibly cats without bursting a seam, we’ve got you covered.

Brett’s cat Murder also likes bags, but she demands a trade if he wants his laptop case back. Looks like we started selling these just in time.

Thanks for reading, thanks for supporting us, and thanks for letting us tell you how much we love you without getting all blushy and uncomfortable!
